Short Synopsis

Manav a guy from Shimla who choose to be a good hoteliers instead of being part of his dad bussnes. After lot of struggle he got selection to join one of five star hotel in Alibaug near Mumbai. Where he meets two colleague Joy and Shantanu. Manav feels this job is too important for him and he start working with fear but Joy is open minded and alwys takes risk with thier boss, being roommate Manav think if he stay with Joy for long he will loose his job. Meanwhile a Ketaki comes from Zurich for the training where she falls in love with Joy. While moving from Alibaug Ketaki share her feelings with Manav about Joy and Manav remember his love life which was half complite at IHM college. Slovely slovely Manav realising Joy is perfect for his friendship and he accept him as a friend. Meanwhile Mr. Roy general manager of five star hotel take action against Joy and force him to leave the job, Manav stand with Joy and makes realise Mr. Roy he is wrong. Manav feels alone and he prapose to Riya who is waiting for him after leaving the collage.    

Author Bio

Rameez Hattur working in the industry as a Writer and Director from past 8 years. Worked as a Associate and Creative director in the Hindi web series and as a Director in the Marathi film.

Characterization

Charactor - Manav Kapoor

Age - 25 to 30

Personality - Good looking / Handsome

Character behave – Serious 

   Manav Kapoor the character is play a big role in the story. Normal tone with normal voice. (IHM) Institute Of Hotel Management student who lives in present and thinks about the future. Sometimes when he becomes unhappy or he doesn't  understand what to do, his inside voice (Mini Manav) always helps him to take the right decisions. A mom’s boy joined the IHM going against his dad. His father wants his son to be like him a businessman, but Manav wants to do something on his own. Manav and his dad’s relationship are like war when they talk. Manav takes a decision and joins IHM to be a Hotelier in the future, it was not that much easy for him to join the IHM, as this is the last option in life finally, he joined. Dad’s fight, friends betrayed, and future thinking between this Manav becomes too nervous, he did not laugh for the last few years but his life change, and a lot of happiness comes in his life when Manav meets his first love in college. It was his first side love and he don’t want to lose her, so he decide to be her friend forever. After completing the study they both went to different ways for their career. Manav decides he will never meet again but he is stuck in life’s situation, Mini Manav realizes his love, and Manav decides to propose to her finally, in the end, they become together.

  In his job life, Manav always blames himself, he thinks he had taken the wrong decision to choosing this career. After completing IHM college he joins in five - star hotel  as a Front Office manager which is located in Alibag, Raigad. During work, he meets two bad friends Joy and Shantanu from them Manav is always scared and keeps some distance but later bad friends become good friends, especially Joy who makes some changes in Manav’s life and give a real value to friendship. Manav feels real friend enter his life, and he can learn a lot of things from him.

Charactor - Joy 

Age 30 -35.

Personality – Normal good looking with French beard.

Character behave – Comedy/Serious

  Joy Dharmarajan character playing the role of the Housekeeping Manager in the story. Joy is a medium-class orphan guy, with ten years of struggle and without an IHM degree, he achieved better success compared to others. He wants to be more successful with his talent. He thinks one rule should be followed by every human, give respect and take respect. He has a solution to every problem. Being a senior and with more experience in the team Joy tries to pull the leg for fun and even he helps when someone is stuck in a problem.

  Joy and Upendra Suri as an employee and boss always fight for right and wrong things. Being a junior Joy thinks better than the boss which he doesn’t like and Joy always crosses his decision. Joy gives examples for every work in his way which some like and some don’t. Joy thinks the senior person also was a junior at his time, so instead of calling sir to senior, he likes to call the boss. After spending a year time one incident happens, talk and a revenge war starts between both of them. Being a senior Upendra Suri tells Joy to resign from his duties, till the time Joy and Manav become a good friends, and Manav takes the decision instead of Joy.

Charactor - Shantanu 

Age – 40 – 45

Personality – A Bengali men, good look, and always wearing kurta and dhoti as traditional of Bengal. 

Character behave – Comedy

  Shantanu Mukharji is playing the role of executive chef in the story. Executive chef is a major designation in the hotelier’s team. Shantanu Mukharji is a medium-class married man from west Bengal.

  Shantanu reached this designation with ten years of experience. He wanted to do something else but unfortunately and losing two-three businesses he joined this industry and become a big part of the Hoteliers. Shantanu is too honest with his job and too scares with his wife, whenever he talks it’s starts like a war between them, mostly he talks after drink, so it creates a lot of issues. Occasionally with Joy and Manav, he drinks. Whenever they don't get options for food, Shantanu is the only option for all to cook. Between Manav and Joy, Shantanu becomes the middle and manages both of them. 

  Being Bengali babu he always wears a kurta and dhoti, by his talking tone, he proves he is Bengali babu. 

Charactor - Upendra Suri

Age – 45/50

Personality – Handsome, good looking, sharp and charming. Always wearing specs, at age of 45 he looks like a young.

Character mood - Serious 

   Upendra Suri is playing the role of general manager in the story. General Manager is the most important designation in the hospitality industry. With fifteen years of experience, he always runs the organization with some of his own rules and regulation. Upendra Suri is very punctual and disciplined for his duty and he wishes all should be as. He is the figure who is responsible for executing the strategic goals of an organization and ensuring that everyone is performing in alignment with those goals. As a general manager, he doesn’t like his juniors to argue with him. He thinks all should follow his rules but Joy always cross him with his own rules. Upendra Suri believes every problem has a solution, we just need to find it. He thinks to work with honesty, passion, and hard work, one day we all will achieve our goals. Upendra Suri is very smart to know the people, nobody can make him a fool. He speaks less and does more.

  He is very active and addicted to work sometimes he becomes too angry, and because of this, he forgets his family and his personal life. During a fight and argument, Manav realizes him always senior can’t be right sometime juniors also can be and change must be in life. Letter Upendra Suri feels Manav is right and he has to change himself because he did not change in the last fifteen years. In end he accepts change must be in life. 

Charactor - Kundan Khurana

Age – 45/50

Personality – Looks old age man, little mustache, always try to move his tie from left to right

Character mood – Comedy/ Serious

  Kundan Khurana is playing the role of Human Resource manager in the story.  He is basically from Gujarat and married to a Rajasthani woman. Both fall in love from college and after twenty-five years also they are loving each other.

  As per the role he is smart, who solve the problems of everyone. His role is to keep happy everyone but sometime it can’t happen. When the issue converts into a big problem he manages and sorts out things. Being on this designation he is very close to Upendra Suri. After Upendra Suri, he is the senior and most valuable person for all. Together they decide and takes decisions.

  whenever he is in tense or happier he always moves his tie from left to right and right to left. He always questions everyone and keeps watch on them, at the time of promotion and salary increment he explains to that person. At every campus, the interview he leaves his questionable dictionary and interviewer never forgets it.

Charactor - Suhani Rawat

Age – 22/25

Personality – Beautiful good looking, believe in herself.

Character mood – Serious/ Comedy

  Suhani Rawat is a rich dad’s daughter. After Completing the IHM study she wants to settle in London for a job. She doesn’t believe in a love relationship. She likes to be straightforward. A happy girl who wants to live her life by her own rules. 

  Being from a rich family she still feels alone, nobody loves her at home how she wants. When Manav enters her life, she feels too happy because she was waiting for someone who can care for and understand her. (Walk in the midnight on street / enjoy ice cream in winter / share the inside thoughts / sometimes have non-veg food / feel safe). Even not believing in a love relationship after spending some months with Manav she feels he can be his life partner but she doesn’t want to lose him, so she doesn’t share her love feelings and accept him as a friend forever. During four year journey with Manav as an IHM student, she learns a lot of things. What is love, how to be happy always, how to control emotions, how to live our life.

  On the last day of college, Suhani tells Manav about her London settle wish. Thinking about Suhani’s dream, Manav also keeps his emotion inside and they both don’t share. Without hugging and not giving the right answer to Manav Suhani leaves the college and India for forever.  

Charactor - Ketaki

Age – 25/30

Personality – A foreigner girl with handsome look.

Character Mood -  Serious.

  Ketaki Salvianes is playing the role of a Hospitality trainer in the story. The Zurich resort team hire Ketaki as a trainer for their organization. Ketaki came for training purpose from Zurich, Switzerland to India for eight days.

  In the organization, Ketaki is giving training for hoteliers on the topic (Our vision / Yes, I can / smart and hard work). During the eight days training program, Ketaki as a friend comes close to Manav, Joy and Shantanu. Every day after the training session in the evening they spend time together on the beach. Giving most of the answers and spending late night time with Joy, Ketaki came very close to Joy. She decided Joy can be his life partner but Joy was not aware about this.

  Eight days were completed and the time came for Ketaki to go back to Zurich, Switzerland. Before going she wanted to share her love feelings with Joy but she can’t because she came to know Joy is not yet ready for a love relationship. Ketaki keeps quiet and shares with Manav and takes his promise from him not to share with Joy.

  Reaching Zurich, Ketaki every day call and speaks with them. Life was going smoothly she becomes busy in Zurich and they become busy in India. One day a incident happens in Joy’s life, Ketaki comes to know about it by Manav. Immediate she comes to India to help Joy. She helps and take out Joy from that situation, finally Ketaki shares her feelings with Joy and Joy accepts it.   

What Makes the Book Suitable for Adaptation

A new and fresh concept for young generation which can be a good entertainment for audience. Till date no movie made on IHM student, what is thier life, how they struggle to get admission in collage, after passout from college how they struggle to get a job, after job how life get busy to just earn and go ahead every day accepting challenges. They have to smile in front of guest even if they have thousonds problem in personal life.
