nspector Suraj Pant, M 45 Psychology and Background: Inspector Suraj Pant has a very stable, seasoned, no-nonsense police officer with a hint of calculated madness wherever necessary. This hint of madness is something that needs to be underplayed. It is a product of the number of years this individual has spent dealing with criminals, something that projects a certain coldness while it also makes this character dynamic. Appearance: He is physically very fit for his age with a few salt and pepper hair. He is clean shaven with a definitive jawline. A suave looking police officer who commands respect by his seriousness (rarely smiles), honest approach towards his work, but is also feared for his psychotic streak. Pointers for Casting:An actor with intense eyes would do wonders to this character. This character has a lot to be expressed without dialogues. An actor who can use the following references but will bring his own distinct flavour to the character without using these characteristics to mimic the reference. When he sees no opportunities, he creates an environment by hook or by crook for opportunities to take birth. He knows ways to manipulate the mindset of masses through social media to meet his own goals. Randhir has a weakness for sex. He is in love with one of his contractual employees named Rupali, however he keeps his doors open for other sexual encounters. He is a regular at Page 3 parties and has deep contacts in the entertainment industry. He is incapable of stopping, when it comes to fulfilling his ambitions. He is the smartest man on screen for most of the season and gives an illusion that he will deal with anything that comes his way until silently smarter characters are uncovered as the season progresses. This character is the epicentre of the waves of illusional bravado, utopian life that most men fantasize about and disappointment that take over the viewer. In-spite of the flaws, this is a character that the viewers will root for. Appearance: He has body language of a confident, successful, alpha-male. He has a very handsome, attractive face and a fit body. Though he is a player and a sex-addict, he never lets it show in his interactions with opposite sex, thus he is not lecherous because he knows the game of attraction. His gait and polished personality comes out with his well groomed face, hair, hands and through his slim-fit suits and business casuals. Pointers for Casting: An actor with undeniable charm and good looks is required for this role. An actor who is comfortable in his own skin and has a certain graciousness about him. When he walks, he walks as if he owns the room or the street he is in. Dignity, delicate feminine gestures that accompany the confidence of a strong businesswoman is what makes this character attractive. She is a strong, confident, professional yet innocent, vulnerable personality for whom Randhir as well as the viewers feel protective for. She creates an aura about herself that places her far above the murk and guilt of other characters. Her character makes the viewers sympathize with her as an innocent girl stuck in undesirable situations that are a products of Randhir's mistakes. Appearance: Neat and Clean, Prim and Proper, An innocent face. Mostly seen in business suits, sometimes in partywear and business casuals. A slim, petite figure, expressive eyes, body language of a woman who seems to be in control but is equally vulnerable when stuck in problems beyond her control. High pony tail when in business environment, open hair when in casual setup. Always wears high heels. Has a smile to die for. He has an intellectual air about him. His actions are always safe and well-meaning as compared to Randhir's calculated yet reckless acts. He has a very delicate and caring attitude towards both his friends Randhir and Rupali. He feels sorry for the way Rupali is trapped in Randhir's mistakes but is helpless. However he also understands Randhir's wildness and doesn't judge him for his acts. On the contrary he tries to cover up for Randhir's mistakes whenever possible. He has deep rooted feelings for Rupali which he doesn't let show on his face because he knows that he is far beneath her league and he is incapable of betraying Randhir. This character also embodies the protectiveness that viewers feel for Rupali. A viewer feels relief when Devendra is around Rupali. There is a poetic element to this character and it can be fleshed out further with tender lyrics (couplets) playing in background whenever Devendra has reflective moments of his impossible, unrequited love for Rupali. This character rarely shows his pain on his face with the fear that others around him might get hurt because of his feelings. Appearance: Devendra has innocent boyish looks. He wears rim- less spectacles and mostly wears smart casuals – jeans, khakis, slim fit check shirts and polo neck t-shirts. At home he wears short kurtas. At office parties, he is seen drinking red wine alone while his friends are dancing and flirting. He has an air of Mr. Dependable about him. An actor who with his innocent and kind body-language can keep the audience grounded to basic human kindness in a world of opportunism and crime. With no charm, he has to use other tactics to get his way. He walks with a hunch and talks with a heavy vernacular accent. Pointers for Casting:The actor in this role needs to project eyes RG and body language of a lecherous man. A man who can embody repressed thoughts and sexuality. After a lot of brainstorming, he decides not to support Neha's father. His decision shocks Neha and she stops talking to him. Rajeev's candidate wins the elections and Neha's father loses. This completely breaks Neha's heart and she decides to marry according to her father's choice. Rajeev, with help of his friends, reaches Neha's engagement place and proposes to her in front of everyone. After a lot of drama, Neha accepts his proposal and finally they marry each other.
