Sanjoy Nag started out with documentaries before branching out to feature films. His debut feature ‘MEMORIES IN MARCH’, starring Rituparno Ghosh, Raima Sen & Deepti Naval, won him the Indian National Award in 2010 & was world premiered at the New Currents Section, Busan International Film Festival 2010. It was also screened at the Indian Panorama, IFFI, Goa ‘2011; MAMI, Mumbai; Kerala IFF, Durban IFF, South Africa and numerous others across the globe. He has just completed a Hindi feature "GULAB" with Tanya Maniktala, Paoli Dam & others. His Hindi feature ‘YOURS TRULY’ starring Soni Razdan, Pankaj Tripathi, Aahana Kumra & Mahesh Bhatt had its World Premiere at the Busan International Film Festival 2018 and is being currently screened at festivals across the world and streaming on ZEE5. It recently won the Best Digital Film Award at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival, 2020. ‘PARAPAAR' (2014) was his sophomore feature followed by ‘GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE’ starring Revathy, Shweta Tripathi, Rituparna Sengupta, Tejaswini & Shabana Azmi with music composed by M M Kreem. His is waiting to film ‘MUJHE JAAN NA KAHO MERI JAAN’ (a.k.a. Starring Ranbir & Hrithik) which was selected for the Asian Projects Market, Busan International Film Festival, 2016. An obsessive foodie and traveller, he dons the grease paint only for exciting roles – playing Rabindranath Tagore was one such in ‘JEEVAN SMRITI – Selective Memories’ directed by late auteur Rituparno Ghosh.
